This October, you’ll see a lot of pink around Paul Miller Ford. We’re joining businesses all across the country to raise awareness and support for fighting cancer—but for us, it’s not just breast cancer. We’re supporting the fight against cancer of all types through our support of Ford’s Warriors in Pink and the Lexington Cancer Foundation.
We’re of course supporting Ford’s Warriors in Pink breast cancer initiative (if you haven’t seen their latest commercial yet, check it out)—in fact, we wrapped a Ford Fusion with the Warriors in Pink design and sent it over to the folks at Susan G. Komen Lexington to act as their Race for the Cure pace car a few weeks ago. We’ve also been bringing the Warriors in Pink Fusion to our activations at UK football games. If you haven’t been out to see us yet, we’d love to see you there and talk to you about how Warriors in Pink is fighting cancer.
Another cause we’re proud to support is the Lexington Cancer Foundation. While Warriors in Pink fights breast cancer all over the country, the Lexington Cancer Foundation brings that fight close to home. All the money raised by the Lexington Cancer Foundation stays in Kentucky, and those funds directly support organizations that help with patient care. They distribute their proceeds to companies and organizations that support the fight against cancers of all types—organizations like the UK Children’s Hospital, the Lexington American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, Central Baptist Hospital, UK’s Markey Cancer Center, and many, many others. Since its inception, the LCF has awarded and pledged over 7 million dollars to cancer organizations in our state.
That kind of local focus is why Paul Miller Ford supports the Lexington Cancer Foundation. But this year, our donation won’t just have the Paul Miller name on it. We wouldn’t be able to support organizations like the LCF without the support of our customers—so we’re adding their names to our donation.
Come in and see us anytime this month to add your name or the name of a loved one who fought or is fighting cancer to our walls. You don’t need to make a donation—we’ve taken care of that already. We just want to honor the people who make it possible. Central Kentucky has been supporting us for over sixty years, and our support of the Lexington Cancer Foundation is just one of the ways we try to give back.
